✨ Schimelpfenig Middle School is proud to announce our 20th Annual Career Day on Friday, March 13th

🙋🏽‍♀️🙋🏽 We are looking for parents and community members who would like to come to school and talk about their careers: 

✅ Volunteers are needed for sixth, seventh, and eighth grades. 

✅ We welcome your participation for an hour, half day, or all day. 

✅ Each class period is approximately 45 minutes; however, you can present for 30-35 minutes and allow the remainder of the period for questions. 

✅ Please arrive at Schimelpfenig thirty minutes before your presentation for a leisurely check in.

 

If you are able to join us to present at this special event, please complete the Career Day Speaker Form by Friday, February 27, 2026. You will be contacted to schedule your presentation.

Plano Independent School District, in partnership with the Plano Police Department, invites parents and guardians to attend Behind the Screen: What Every Parent Should Know about Online Safety on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Robinson Fine Arts Center.

 

This informative presentation will focus on internet and phone safety for children and teens of all ages. Parents will learn about commonly used and hidden apps, warning signs to watch for and practical steps to take if their child becomes a victim of online behavior. This session is designed to help families better understand today’s digital landscape and feel more confident supporting their children online.

 

All parents and guardians are encouraged to attend. Recommended to not bring students.
