Support the SMS students and teachers by showing that you value your child’s education by joining the PTA. Memberships start at $12 and students are only $6 with a parent membership! As a benefit to members only, you will have access to an online directory as well as PTA member discounts. Student members receive special discounts during our spring and fall socials and have the opportunity to be involved in leadership opportunities.
We at the SMS PTA are so excited for the opening of our new School Store this Wednesday, October 2!
Every Wednesday during lunch, students will be able to purchase school supplies and spirit items. Please bring cash!

The 2024-2025 Reflections theme: Accepting Imperfection.
The National PTA Reflections Program encourages students to express themselves through dance, film, literature, music, photography, and visual arts. Winners can advance to Council, State, and National levels, with scholarships and prizes available. Submissions are due by November 8th.

Save the date for our first PTA General Meeting of the year! Come join us at school and have a coffee and chat with Principal Kinnard. We will start at 8:30am with some important PTA business including voting on the budget followed by a chat with our principal.
Spirit Night is one of the easiest way to support your PTA and school. On Wednesday, August 21st, head over to Chipotle at 6917 Independence Pkwy Plano, TX 75023 and get a break from cooking. This event is between 4-8pm. 25% of event sales will be donated to Schimelpfenig PTA.

Plano ISD is implementing Skyward Family Access for parents and students for the 2024–2025 school year.
New student enrollment: Families with students new to Plano ISD can enroll their students by visiting the enrollment webpage.
Annual registration: Families with returning students can sign up for a new Family Access account and start their annual registration. Students with finalized schedules can view them in Family Access starting August 5. For more information, please visit the annual registration webpage.
