Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful time with your friends and families this past holiday season. It is January, and we are almost half way through the school year. Can you believe it? Time is flying fast, and we are already starting to prepare for next year. I’m really looking forward to the next few months as we have several fun things planned this semester for the kids.

A big thank you to all who donated their time, expert baking skills, and those who provided all the delicious holiday desserts for pie day and the teacher luncheon! We appreciate you helping us show the teachers and staff how much the SMS community values them and everything they do for our kids during the day.

Please join us January 16th for our next General Meeting and Coffee with the Principal at 8:45 am. This is a great opportunity to hear the latest information from Dr. Perry and ask any questions you might have. Coffee, tea, water and light snacks are supplied.

Also, be on the lookout for more information for our upcoming Spring Social on March 27th and our 8th grade end of year celebration on May 15th. You won’t want your student to miss out on the fun!

Soon, we will be actively looking to fill our board for the 2020-2021 school year. If you are interested in joining our amazing, award-winning board in any capacity, please feel free to contact me at president@smspta.org or Andria Giboney at andriagiboney.ptsa@gmail.com and we will be happy to provide you with additional information or answer any questions you might have. Whether you have a little time or a lot, we have a position that will fit your schedule! No experience is needed and training is provided.

Go Panthers!!
