PISD Middle School Summer School & Camp Offerings

• Plano Visual Art Academy.  PVAA is all PISD 5^th - 7^th grade students who have a deep interest in pursuing art.  This 4-week program will be at Schimelpfenig for our students. Pre-registration is open until noon on April 13th. 
• Gateway Engineering Camp. Open to current PISD 6th and 7th graders, this will be at Schimelpfenig MS this summer. Click here to get more information.
• SIGS Summer School.  SIGS will be at Schimelpfenig this summer.  SIGS provides an innovative summer learning experience and is open to ALL students in grades K-7. Students are able to choose from a list of courses that includes humanities, science, mathematics, social sciences, and fine arts. To honor the original intent of the program, PACE students will be grouped together in their classes if staffing allows.

General Membership Meeting and Election of PTA officers - 4/20

Please join us this Wednesday, April 20th at 6:00 p.m. in the Schimelpfenig MS library for a General Membership Meeting and Election of PTA officers for the 2022-23 school year!  If you are planning to attend, please sign up through your account at smspta.org. It will help us to know the number of people attending, as the school will be providing dessert and beverages to celebrate Volunteer Appreciation Week. Hope to see you there!

Earth Day is Friday, April 22nd.  Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection.
