SMS PTA Write a Check Campaign

Please help Schimelpfenig PTA continue to provide great programs for our students and families.

 

Your funds will go towards speakers, celebrations, socials, hospitality for teachers, and much more! 
 
Based on the average amount PTA spends per student to provide our events and programs a recommended amount is $30 per student. Of course, we would be thrilled to accept any donations.  Schimelpfenig PTA is a nonprofit 501(c)3. All donations are tax deductible.

8th Grade Parents may purchase a Custom Yearbook Recognition Ad for their children through November 15th. Please visit here for more information.  
 
If you have pictures of Schim students doing great things at school or at school sponsored functions, please submit them through Replayit.com or email them to Kayla Robinson .
 

Some pages are submitted as early as November, so please don’t hold on to great pictures for extended periods of time! Thank you for helping make our Yearbook a great book for our students!


News from PTA Board Meeting 9/17

  • Sixteen tickets were sold for SMS at Hawaiian Falls, so $80 was raised for SMS PTA.
  • Dr. Perry would like to focus on student and parent education regarding vaping this year.
  • Shealine Burks will look into parent education speakers for vaping as well helping students (and parents) handle stress. 
  • Our PTA will be looking for Student Board members again this year who will provide input for various events such as socials, speakers, and programs. Please be on the look out for more information soon!

NEWS FROM PTA BOARD MEETING 8/13/19

  • Dr. Perry thanked the PTA for helping with the trip to accept the award for Schools to Watch in D.C.
  • Officer Chris is now at SMS! He will visit the 3 feeder schools each day. 
  • The following positions in PTA were filled:  Lisa Heise Parliamentarian, Cathy Talbot Council Delegate, Karen Gournay Box tops, Christine Prenzi Fall and Spring Socials, Stephanie Vaughan 8th Grade EOY Celebration, Sonali Chaturvedi Reflections
