Ice Cream!

SMS PTA is providing ice cream treats for all students this Friday, April 23rd. Treats will be offered to all F2F students during lunch periods.
For @Home students, only, we are offering drive-by pickup of ice cream treats after school from 3:45 to 4:30. Pickup location will be the bus drop-off area outside the cafeteria. If you plan to bring your @Home student, please sign up for a time-slot so that we can try to control the traffic flow.
We will be offering a choice of 6 ice cream bars -- all are nut-free, 4 are gluten free, 3 are non-chocolate, and 2 are dairy-free. Sign-up Genius is here!

We have the 4th largest increase in membership in all of Texas!
SMS PTA has earned the Golden Apple (all SMS staff are members), MARS (Men Are Really Super) and Student Membership (at least 25 student members) Awards. Thank you to our Schimelpfenig Community for your support! If you are not yet a member, please help us to earn the April Showers Award -- 15 new members in April!
Support the SMS students and teachers by showing that you value your child’s education by joining the PTA. Memberships start at less than $12 and students are only $5 with a parent membership! As a benefit to members only, you will have access to an online directory as well as PTA member discounts. Student members receive special discounts during our spring and fall socials and have the opportunity to be involved in leadership opportunities.

How do we raise a happy, confident kid? And how can we be confident that our parenting is preparing our child for success?
Confident Parents, Confident Kids lays out an approach for helping parents—and the kids they love—hone their emotional intelligence so that they can make wise choices, connect and communicate well with others (even when patience wears thin), and become socially competent and confident human beings.

Schimelpfenig Face masks -- Show your school spirit while staying safe!

If your Panther student(s) is going to school Face-to-Face and needs more masks to wear at school, we still have Schimelpfenig face masks available for purchase!
Face masks are $8.00 each. Buy in bulk, any combination, for discount: 2 for $7.50 each; 5 for $6.60 each; $10 for $6.00 each. Discount will be calculated at checkout.
* It will be delivered on a weekly basis.
